Congressman Andrews Announces 650 Jobs Bringing Cleaner Energy to South Jersey
West Deptford, NJ - On Wednesday, Congressman Andrews announced that 650 new construction jobs will be coming to West Deptford as LS Power begins building a 738 megawatt, natural gas-fired power plant. Congressman Andrews has been a staunch advocate for bringing more alternative energy projects to South Jersey, including the West Deptford facility. This facility is scheduled for completion in 2014 and expected to lower electricity costs for consumers and businesses across South Jersey.

Congressman Andrews Meets With South Jersey Mayors on Jobs and Economy
Blackwood, NJ - Last week, Congressman Andrews hosted a roundtable meeting with mayors from Camden, Gloucester and Burlington Counties to discuss ways that federal, state and local officials can work together to address issues facing South Jersey residents. Far too many of our neighbors started off their New Year with anxiety over our ailing economy, concerns over a mounting tax burden, or fear that they could lose their jobs, businesses, or homes. Congressman Andrews Announces $1.55 Million to Create Jobs and Affordable Housing in South Jersey
Camden, NJ—Today, Congressman Andrews announced two grants totaling $1.55 million from the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York that will create over 50 jobs in South Jersey. The grants fund two major projects: the construction of affordable housing for the developmentally disabled in Woolwich by the Center for Family Services and the renovation of the Independence Village apartment complex into affordable housing in Camden by Life Management, Inc.
