  • Met with legislative staff to prepare for upcoming hearings and pending legislation.
  • Participated in conference call with Administration officials to discuss the President’s recent comments regarding the Middle East.
  • Attended annual American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) banquet.

  • The U.S. House met at 10:00 a.m. for legislative business. 
  • Attended weekly meeting with Democratic Members of the House.
  • Attended meeting with Ways and Means Committee Democrats.
  • Attended Joint Meeting of Congress with the Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister of Israel.
  • Attended luncheon hosted by Speaker with Prime Minister Netanyahu. 
  • Attended meeting with Colleagues and Prime Minister Netanyahu. 
  • Attended Ways and Means Committee hearing on international tax reform.
  • Suppliers from the Abrams Tank program visited the office to discuss their program.
  • Attended Leadership meeting to discuss the debt ceiling.

  • The U.S. House met at 12:00 p.m. for legislative business.  Began consideration of H.R. 1540, The National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2012
  • Attended weekly Leadership meeting with Committee Ranking Members.
  • Michigan members of the National Air Traffic Controllers Association visited the office discuss FAA reauthorization. 
  • Met with Transatlantic Policy Network to discuss trade issues.
  • Met with Secretary of the Treasury to discuss tax and trade.
  • Met with new Director of the UAW Washington office.
