February 13, 2007—Congressman Trent Franks (AZ-02), third term member of the House of Representatives, issued the following statement:
“The United States Congress will sorely miss Congressman Charlie Norwood, who tenaciously defended traditional American values. Before he served in Congress Charlie once wore a United States Army uniform in Vietnam and became a decorated veteran. He dedicated his life to serving the country he loved and his legacy will not soon be forgotten. My prayers go out to his family.”
Congressman Franks is serving his third term in the U.S. House of Representatives, is a member of the Committee on Armed Services, Committee on the Judiciary, and is Ranking Member on the Constitution Subcommittee
