| Washington, DC -- Congressman Vern Buchanan (FL-13) discussed the economy and jobs with President Barack Obama during a 90-minute bipartisan meeting last night at the White House. “There is no issue more important to the people of Florida right now than rebuilding our economy and creating jobs,” said Buchanan. “The President agreed that we need to do more to help small businesses, which are the nation’s biggest job creators and get credit flowing again to consumers and entrepreneurs.” Buchanan said Obama pledged to work with him to strengthen the Small Business Administration’s ability to help entrepreneurs and increase access to credit. “I appreciate the President’s bipartisan approach,” said the 13th District Congressman. “We won’t always agree, but I want to work with him on issues of importance to the American people.” |
