Pacific Daily News Article Contains Error on Bordallo Position on Eminent Domain
Congresswoman Madeleine Z. Bordallo today issued the following response to the Pacific Daily News article which misquoted her as urging the Department of Defense to use eminent domain for land acquisition on Guam:
“I have repeatedly stated my opposition to the use of eminent domain by the Department of Defense for land acquisition on Guam,” Congresswoman Madeleine Z. Bordallo said today. “The press release sent out from my office yesterday in regards to the House Armed Services Committee hearing with Secretary Robert Gates stated my opposition to eminent domain but was misrepresented in a Pacific Daily News article today. I have asked the PDN to correct this misinformation as soon as possible.”
