  • The U.S. House met at 2:00 p.m. for legislative business.  Debated and voted on several pieces of legislation including H.Res. 727, a resolution expressing support for greater awareness of ovarian cancer.
  • Attended Meeting of Democratic Members of the House to discuss job creation.
  • Watched President Obama’s address on the war in Afghanistan. 

Wednesday, December 2, 2009

  • The U.S. House met at 10:00 a.m. for legislative business. Debated and voted on several pieces of legislation. 
  • Met with executives from Wolverine Worldwide Inc to discuss trade issues. 
  • Attended Meeting with Ways and Means Democrats.
  • Attended Meeting of Democratic Members of the House.
  • Met with executives from Prudential to discuss Low Income Housing Tax Credit.   
  • Spoke with the Director of Recovery for Auto Communities and Workers, regarding the need to change current law to provide states with a high unemployment rate an additional year prior to re-paying their UI loans.
  • Attended Reception in honor of the National Institutes of Health’s new director.

  • The U.S. House met at 10:00 a.m .for legislative business.  Debated and voted on H.R. 4154, the Permanent Estate Tax Relief for Families, Farmers, and Small Businesses Act of 2009. 
  • Attended Meeting with Democratic Members of the House.
  • Attended Meeting with Ways and Means Democrats.
  • Met with Detroit Medical Center to discuss health care reform legislation.
  • Met with Chairman of EU Parliament's International Trade Committee.
