Air Force Releases Malmstrom Housing Funds in Response to Rehberg Request

WASHINGTON, DC - Montana's Congressman, Denny Rehberg, today hailed a United States Air Force (USAF) decision to release funding for 382 new housing units on Malmstrom Air Force Base.  Rehberg recently pushed for the funds to be released in a meeting with Major General Roger Burg 20th Air Force Command.

“The brave men and women proudly serving at Malmstrom deserve the best quality housing available,” said Rehberg. “In 2006, as a member of the House Military Quality of Life Appropriations Subcommittee, I was successful in securing these funds in the annual funding bill.  I applaud the Air Force’s decision to begin moving this project forward.”

The funds were tied up for several months as the overall housing project was being redesigned.
