Rehberg Secures $400,000 in Funding for Montana World Trade Center in Missoula
WASHINGTON, DC - Montana’s Congressman, Denny Rehberg, today secured $400,000 in funding for the Montana World Trade Center’s (MWTC) Enterprise Montana Initiative, based in Missoula, in the Financial Services Appropriations Bill.

“The Montana World Trade Center provides a critical service for Montana businesses looking to do business internationally,” said Rehberg, a member of the House Financial Services Appropriations Subcommittee.  “These funds will help pay for new programs the Trade Center is developing and for additional trade missions which help Montana businesses and create jobs.”

The EnterpriseMontana Initiative has brought together, for the first time in Montana, organizations and businesses in a public/private partnership to promote global trade of Montana products and services.  Through trade missions, trade shows, training and advisory work, EnterpriseMontana over the past year has led to contracts and sales for Montana companies in excess of 50 million dollars.

“EnterpriseMontana is critically important to Montana companies looking to expand around the world,” said Arnie Sherman, Executive Director of the Montana World Trade Center.  “These funds will continue the work of this program, that was developed with the help of Congressman Rehberg a year and a half ago, which allows Montana products to be brought into the global marketplace.”

“Expanding the global market for Montana products and services strengthens our state’s economy,” said Rehberg.  “The Trade Center has developed partnerships that work and I look forward to continuing to help in any way I can.”
