HOLT STATEMENT ON BRAZILIAN COURT RULING IN FAVOR OF DAVID GOLDMAN

Washington - U.S. Rep. Rush Holt today issued the following statement after the Brazilian Federal Appeals Court ruled that Sean Goldman should be returned to his father, David, a resident of Tinton Falls, New Jersey.
In yet another vindication for David Goldman, the Brazilian federal appeals court has unanimously ruled that his son Sean should be returned to him within 48 hours. This is the right decision, and we hope there will be no further legal delays. It is long time past for the son to be reunited with the father. I will continue to work to ensure the speedy and safe reunion of the Goldmans, and I will continue my work to ensure that the return of all internationally abducted children is a national obligation and a top-tier priority for our State and Justice Departments.
