| Washington, DC – Congressman Bill Shuster announced today funding for the Loretto Community Volunteer Fire Company for their operations and safety budget. The funding is provided through the Assistance for Firefighters Grant Program, which awards one-year grants directly to firefighters to support the services they deliver.
“The safety and security of those who put their lives on the line everyday is of the highest priority,” Shuster said. “These men and women volunteer their time to help save lives and they should be provided with the best equipment and support we can provide to them. This funding will be used to meet those needs.”
The Loretto Community Volunteer Fire Company will receive $76,266 to be allocated toward their operations and safety budget for equipment.
The Department of Homeland Security administers the Assistance for Firefighters Grant Program through their State and Local Government Coordination and Preparedness Office in cooperation with the U.S. Fire Administration. |
