(Warwick, R.I.)–Congressman Jim Langevin will award Westerly resident and World War II veteran Charles Del Monte with six military commendations this Wednesday, April 14, at Langevin’s District Office, 300 Centerville Rd, in Warwick at 9:30 a.m.

 Del Monte served from January 1945 to July 1946, then spent four years in the inactive reserves.

 Langevin will present to Del Monte a World War II Victory Medal, American Campaign Medal, Navy Occupation Service Medal, Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal, Honorable Service Lapel Pin and the Discharge Button.

 Del Monte is a life-long resident of Westerly and is retired from Electric Boat.
