Inslee to sponsor workshop for small business

Congressman Jay Inslee announced he is sponsoring a workshop for small businesses on Monday, April 20, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the Shoreline Center.

“More than ever, we need to make sure that small businesses are stable and thriving during these difficult times,” said Inslee.  “That is why I am sponsoring a small business workshop in my district to provide information about resources that are available to small business owners.”  

There are federal, state and other government programs aimed at helping small businesses.  In addition, the recent federal stimulus bill, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act contained several new provisions to help small businesses.   At this workshop, participants will receive information about help that is available from:

• US Small Business Administration
• Washington State Department of Community Trade and Economic Development
• Internal Revenue Service
• Snohomish County Economic Development Council
• Enterprise Seattle
• Community Capital Development
