Emanuel Calls on National Security Adviser to Testify
Publicly about 9/11

WASHINGTON, DC—U.S. Representative Rahm Emanuel released the following statement today in response to the Washington Post op-ed by Bush Administration National Security Adviser Dr. Condoleezza Rice.

“After steadfastly refusing to testify publicly before the commission investigating the intelligence failures surrounding 9/11, National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice today published a lengthy opinion piece on the subject.  Something’s wrong with this picture.

If she can write about it, she ought to be willing to talk about it -- and answer questions.  It’s time for Ms. Rice to emerge from behind the duck blind.”
