HUD Awards GHURA $1,174,617 in Federal Grants
2/10/2012 - Congresswoman Madeleine Z. Bordallo today announced that the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has awarded the Guam Housing and Urban Renewal Authority (GHURA) $1,174,617 in federal financial assistance. The formula grant was made available through the 2012 Capital Fund program.
Statement on Marine Corps Realignment in the Pacific
2/8/2012 - Congresswoman Madeleine Z. Bordallo today met with Under Secretary of the Navy Robert Work and Assistant Secretary of the Navy Jackalyne Pfannenstiel regarding recent discussions between the Obama Administration and the Government of Japan on the Marine Corps realignment in the Asia-Pacific region. The Department of State issued a formal statement on the renegotiations with the Japanese government concerning the DoD’s force posture and the relocation of Marines from Okinawa to Guam and other installations in the region.
Matthew Herrmann Receives National Guard Militia Award
2/7/2012 - Congresswoman Madeleine Z. Bordallo today announced that the Enlisted Association of the National Guard of the United States has awarded Matthew Herrmann, the Legislative Director in her Washington, D.C. office, the Militia Award for his support and commitment to the National Guard. The Militia Award is given to one House and one Senate staffer each year to recognize those who have distinguished themselves by advancing the interests of the enlisted soldiers and airmen of the United States National Guard.
