Washington, D.C. - U.S. Congressman Kevin Brady (R-The Woodlands) issued the following statement as the 9/11 Commission released their findings in a final report to the public today.
“The 9/11 Commission itself is a missed opportunity.
“This should have been a serious study on a serious matter. But given its inappropriate partisan behavior and media grandstanding, I long for the credibility of the Warren Commission.
“As for its recommendations, time will tell. But so far -- with perfect hindsight -- the 9/11 Commission blames disjointed layers of government bureaucracy for missing the opportunity to stop the terrorist attack. Their solution? Add another thick layer of government bureaucracy.
“It’s typical for Washington, I suppose, but I had hoped for better.”
