Public Invited To Meet Face-To-Face With Congressman Brady

Next round of 'Cracker Barrel' town hall meetings scheduled throughout Eighth District

Washington, D.C. - - U.S. Representative Kevin Brady today announced he will be holding his next series of 'Cracker Barrel' town hall meetings in communities throughout the Eighth District. Cracker Barrel sessions are opportunities for the second-term congressman to listen and learn about issues facing families, businesses, and the community.

"I learn every time we hold Cracker Barrel sessions. It provides me with a face-to-face opportunity to listen to issues that are important to our families' businesses and our community. Whether the issue is social security, tax reform, health care or immigration, I need and want the input of the people I serve," said Brady.

The Cracker Barrel Sessions are named after the early American tradition of citizens gathering around the cracker barrel in the local country store to talk about community issues of the day. In the same manner, Rep. Brady will hold more than 15 Cracker Barrel sessions over the next six weeks.

Cracker barrel sessions will be held in Bryan / College Station, Tomball, Spring-Klein, Spring-Aldine Westfield, the Kingwood / Humble / Atascocita area, Fieldstore, Magnolia, Montgomery and Lake Conroe, East Montgomery County, Conroe, The Woodlands area, Sealy, Bellville, and Brenham.
