A Capitol Fourth
America’s Independence Day Celebration will be held on July 4, 2013, on the West Front of the U.S. Capitol.
Celebrate America’s 237th birthday on July 4th with The U.S. Army Herald Trumpets, The U.S. Army Ceremonial Band, the National Symphony Orchestra, a host of celebrities, and thousands of your fellow Americans at the U.S. Capitol’s annual Independence Day Celebration, A Capitol Fourth.
Held on Capitol’s West Front lawn between 8:00–9:30 p.m., the concert is free and open to the public. It will include a spectacular fireworks show culminating in a rendition of Tchaikovsky’s “1812 Overture.” Live cannon fire will be provided by The United States Army Presidential Salute Battery.
