Subcommittee on Energy and Mineral Resources
I am a member of the Subcommittee on Energy and Mineral Resources. Subcommittee Members are listed here and are listed in order of their seniority.
The Subcommittee on Energy and Mineral Resources has within its purview legislative authority over the production of energy and mineral resources located on lands owned or managed by the federal government. To address America's pressing need for reliable energy sources, the Subcommittee focuses on ways and means to expand and diversify our nation's energy portfolio. This includes exploring a host of traditional, renewable, and alternative energy sources that can be provided by and developed on our nation's public lands and waters - including geothermal, wind, solar, biomass, wave, and ocean current technologies. Equally important, the Subcommittee continues to make sure that any exploration and development is carried out in a responsible and environmentally safe manner.
