| Hamilton Community Health Network will fund an expansion into south Flint and Burton with a $383,333 federal grant.
The Hamilton Network will deliver primary, emergency and preventive care as well as restorative dental care, mental health care and substance abuse treatment to uninsured and under-served individuals at its new site.
"It is imperative that we work together to improve and expand access to quality health care for all Americans," said U.S. Rep. Dale E. Kildee, D-Flint, when announcing the grant.
At full capacity it will serve 11,200 medically indigent patients.
The grant is from the Health Resources and Service Administration's Bureau of Primary Health Care, a division of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
