| Congressman Dale E. Kildee recently announced that Mott Community College will receive a $411,567 federal grant to fund the Career Path Enhancement Project.
The U.S. Department of Commerce awarded the grant to MCC to assist in expansion and improvement of all its Community Technology Centers. MCC currently operates three community technology centers and two M-Tec centers.
The Career Path Enhancement Project will help centers improve their efforts to address socioeconomic challenges in the Flint community. MCC and the University of Michigan-Flint have established five Community Technology Centers to address technological disparities within low-income areas.
The centers give low-income residents an opportunity to develop skills to compete in today's economy.
