Rep. Andrews Announces New Sports Complex in Gloucester County Indoor sports facility in Mantua will create over 150 jobs
Mantua, NJ – Earlier this week, Congressman Andrews was joined by state and local officials at the groundbreaking for Total Turf Experience (TTE), a $6.4 million indoor sports facility that will create over 100 construction jobs and 53 new permanent jobs. Congressman Andrews worked with the developers to obtain federal funds, grants, and bank loans – yet, in the end, TTE required no federal dollars - signaling that the entrepreneurial spirit to invest and grow jobs is on the rebound in South Jersey.
TTE will be the only indoor soccer, baseball/softball, arena football, lacrosse and field hockey facility in Gloucester County. Located on 16 acres, TTE will ultimately have six professional-style, lighted indoor turf fields and a number of outdoor fields. Day or night, no matter the weather, TTE will provide a safe and clean atmosphere for South Jersey athletes. The site will also feature a sporting goods store and a bistro, specializing in healthy foods and beverages. TTE will also focus on the health of the athlete, with state of the art facilities for medicine and physical therapy.
“If there is one issue that our country needs to be focused on, it is providing good private sector jobs for the American people,” said Congressman Andrews. “I don’t just see a groundbreaking today; I see a hundred construction jobs and dozens of permanent jobs at a time when we very badly need them. I see families coming to this place to enjoy sports, to enjoy their time together, and enrich their family life. That is a 3-way win.”
TTE will be located in Mantua Township at 614 Lambs Road, which is part of the Route 55 redevelopment area. It is slated to open this fall.
