Funds would be used to design an extension of 124th Avenue from its northern terminus at Tualatin-Sherwood Road south to a connection with Tonquin Road, and for possible limited right-of-way acquisition.  This project would improve the connection from the Tualatin industrial area to Interstate 5, removing through-traffic and reducing traffic congestion from Tualatin-Sherwood Road through downtown Tualatin and Sherwood.  This improves livability in Tualatin and Sherwood, supports existing and potential future industrial growth in the Tualatin industrial area, and improves access to regionally significant undeveloped industrial lands in the vicinity of the extension.
