Washington, DC - Congressman Mike Rogers (R-Saks) departed for Iraq today in an official Congressional delegation to visit with Alabama troops and survey the situation on the ground in that country.
“I want to see for myself the progress we’re making in Iraq and have a chance to talk with our troops on the ground,” Rogers said. “I also intend to ask Coalition officials some tough questions and make a full and unbiased report to Third District residents of what I saw when I return.”
The bi-partisan delegation of mostly House Armed Services Committee members will return to the United States at some point next week. Rogers serves on the committee.
