Washington, DC - Ambitious students at Talladega College got an academic boost today, as Congressman Mike Rogers (R-Saks) announced the institution will receive $236,446 to prepare students for doctoral studies.
The grant, administered by the United States Department of Education, supports efforts that encourage high-achieving students from disadvantaged backgrounds to pursue further advanced degree studies.
“A good education provides the foundations for lifelong success,” Rogers said. “Today’s announcement means even more support for Talladega College students interested in obtaining advanced degrees.”
