WASHINGTON – Congressman Dennis Cardoza, D-Merced, will resume his cable show this week in an effort to keep constituents informed about important issues before Congress.

“Capitol View with Congressman Dennis Cardoza” features lawmakers and other guests who discuss national issues that are of interest to the Central Valley.  A new edition of the 30-minute show is taped monthly in Washington and runs weekly on Comcast public access stations in Stockton, Modesto, and Merced.

“It’s not a fancy production, but I think that anyone who watches will learn something,” Cardoza said.  “I’ve enjoyed the feedback from constituents who tuned in to view previous shows.”

The guest for the newest edition of “Capitol View” is Rep. Jim Matheson, D-Utah, who serves with Cardoza as a co-chair of the Blue Dog Coalition, a group of conservative House Democrats.  Matheson has been a leader in the annual fight to stop congressional pay raises.

Capitol View will air weekly on the following dates and channels:

Comcast Stockton:   Wed, 8:30 p.m

                                 Ch. 95

Comcast Modesto:  Tues, 4:30 p.m.; Wed, 4:30 p.m.; Thurs, 10:00 p.m.; Sat, 1:30 p.m.

                                Ch. 7

(Stanislaus County residents outside of the Comcast Modesto area can watch Charter Ch. 19)

Comcast Merced:  Tues, 8:30 p.m.

                              Ch. 95
