“I admire President Bush’s continuing efforts to protect the American people and promote freedom abroad, but his plan to privatize Social Security is irresponsible.  We are in the middle of a fiscal crisis.  If the President was serious about addressing our fiscal challenges, as he says he is, he would not present a Social Security plan that digs us trillions deeper into debt.  When all the facts are presented, the American people will understand that this is a reckless solution that we can’t afford.”
