Congresswoman Corrine Brown, Congressman John Mica, Florida Department of Transportation and other stakeholders have worked extremely hard for years to make Sun Rail a reality.  They fully intend to work towards completing both phases of commuter rail in Central Florida.  "Both the state of Florida and Amtrak need to work together to find mutually agreeable terms relating to liability issues, said the Congresswoman.  "I am arranging a meeting in Washington next week between Florida Transportation Secretary Kopelousos and Amtrak President Boardman.   We are expecting some very positive news next Thursday regarding high speed rail, and I also expect Sun Rail to be a vital part of Florida's state wide rail system," said Congresswoman Brown.
