Miami Beach, FL --- Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, a senior member of the Florida Congressional Delegation, is pleased with the announcement by the Department of Health and Human Services of a grant for $142,015 for health care upgrades at the Miami Beach Community Health Center on South Beach.
Ros-Lehtinen is a strong advocate for quality, affordable and accessible health care for all individuals so she is grateful that the Department of Health & Human Services has granted these funds to the Health Center.
The Miami Beach Community Health Center has been serving the citizens of the city of Miami Beach for over 25 years. With the help from these grants, the Miami Beach Health Center will be able to continue providing quality, primary care and outpatient services to uninsured and underinsured residents. The Health Center’s primary goal is to guarantee accessibility to high quality, affordable health care, regardless of variables such as: age, income level, gender, ethnicity or religion.
Ros-Lehtinen said, “I am so pleased with the grant awarded to the Miami Beach Community Health Center because they really do make a difference in people’s lives. I will continue to be an advocate in Washington for the Center because as I’ve said before these Federal funds will help improve an already fantastic operation.”
