(Washington, DC) -- Pembroke Pines, FL – The day after Americans remembered those lost in service to their country, Rep. Wasserman Schultz honored students who will be attending U.S. Service Academies. On Tuesday, May 26th, she bestowed certificates of Congressional Nomination to 10 high school seniors from Florida’s 20th district. The students were accepted to the U.S. Air Force Academy, the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, the U.S. Naval Academy or West Point.
“Entry into a Service Academy is not only important to our nation; it is also a sign of great personal integrity. It takes someone who believes in honor and leadership,” said Rep. Wasserman Schultz at the reception in Pembroke Pines.
