Washington, D.C.—Iowa Congressman Steve King tonight issued the following statement in reaction to the President’s State of the Union Address:

“The President has the delicate and significant task of balancing immediate and long-term U.S. foreign and domestic policy goals.  Right now, the country is in a unique position to achieve those lofty long-term goals, including assisting the spread of freedom to protect our own security and reforming our tax and social security systems.
