Chicago, IL. ---- {In an ongoing effort to increase business ownership in the First Congressional District, Congressman Bobby L. Rush announced today that in partnership with SCORE “ Counselors to America’s Small Business”, will make dreams of business ownership and growth a reality when they kick off their business training workshops at Rush’s office on March 24, 2005 at 700 E. 79th Street, Chicago, IL from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

            Designed with the busy entrepreneur in mind, SCORE, which is a resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), will hold monthly workshops at Rush’s city and suburban offices through October.  

            “Many areas of the First Congressional District are in need of critical business services, which are key to stimulating economic growth and community stabilization,” said Rush.  “I’m committed to providing the necessary resources to spur business growth, and challenge aspiring or established entrepreneurs to come out and take advantage of the SCORE workshops.”  

            At all the business workshops, SCORE representatives will provide participants with training and counseling on things to know when starting a business, how to improve or expand existing business, and business financing resources.
