SCHAKOWSKY STATEMENT ON DEATH OF
FORMER ILLINOIS CONGRESSMAN HENRY HYDE

Washington, D.C.—U.S. Representative Jan Schakowsky (D-IL) released the following statement today on the passing of former Congressman Henry Hyde of Illinois.

“Over his 32 years in Congress, Henry Hyde was known for his strong convictions and beliefs.  While we often disagreed, we were always able to talk about our differences and work together on bipartisan efforts such as ending the genocide in Sudan and the AIDS epidemic in Africa.  Henry Hyde worked hard to serve his constituents and the interests of Illinois.   He will be missed.”
