Washington, D.C. – After approximately 1,200 people in the Saginaw area wrote letters of support for Garber Buick staying open, General Motors has decided that it will maintain its relationship with the dealership. The decision comes after Congressman Dale E. Kildee (D-MI), Co-Chair of the Congressional Automotive Caucus, personally delivered the letters to G.M. CEO Fritz Henderson and other G.M. leadership in a meeting last week.
“This is wonderful news for our community,” said Congressman Kildee. “This decision came about because of the great Garber tradition and the strong support of the people of Saginaw. This is a wonderful example of the power of community and I was happy to have been a messenger of that support.”
