WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congressman Dale E. Kildee (D-MI) has secured $300,000 for the reconstruction of Johnson Street in Bay City. The funding was secured in H.R. 3288, the Department of Transportation, and Housing and Urban Development and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, which passed the House of Representatives last night by a vote of 256 to 168. The bill now awaits consideration by the U.S. Senate.
“I am very pleased that the House of Representatives has approved this important request for Bay City. Well-maintained roads are critical for the public safety and economic prosperity of our area. This funding will help ensure that our streets are in good condition and that visitors and local residents can travel safely in our communities, said Congressman Kildee.
Listed below are the details of the project in Bay City that received funding at the request of Congressman Kildee:
$300,000 for the Johnson Street Reconstruction in Bay City: Funds will be used for the reconstruction of Johnson Street from Center Avenue to Columbus Avenue. • Since FY 2005, Congressman Kildee has secured $2,163,000 for road projects in Bay City.
