Kildee Secures $350,000 for Hurley Medical Center
Funding Will Benefit Emergency Department and Trauma Center
 
WASHINGTON, D.C.  - Congressman Dale E. Kildee (D-MI) announced today that he has secured $350,000 in federal funding for Hurley Medical Center. The funding was secured in H.R. 3293, the Labor-HHS-Education Appropriations Act, which passed the House of Representatives today by a vote of 264 to 153. The bill now awaits consideration by the U.S. Senate.

“I am very pleased that Congress has approved my request for this important project at Hurley Medical Center,” said Congressman Kildee. “Hurley Medical Center provides quality care for our community and this funding will help improve and expand emergency and trauma services. I am proud to support this important project that will benefit the health and well-being of our community.”

Listed below are the details of the project that received funding at the request of Congressman Kildee:

$350,000 for Hurley Medical Center, Emergency Department and Trauma Center:
Funding would be used for the renovation and expansion of the emergency department and trauma center at Hurley Medical Center. Hurley Medical Center is a non-profit, public medical center located in Flint, Michigan.
Since FY 2008, Congressman Kildee has secured $1,356,696 for Hurley Medical Center.
