Washington, D.C.- Congressman Dale E. Kildee (D-MI) announced today that the Defense Logistics Agency is renewing a cost sharing Department of Defense Procurement Technical Assistance Cooperative Agreement with Genesee Economic Area Revitalization, Inc. in the amount of $165,339. The Department of Defense will fund 80% of the total agreement, which translates to approximately $132,271.
“The PTA Cooperative Agreement Program has successfully provided marketing and technical assistance to local businesses in order to prepare them for government contracts,” said Kildee. “This funding will have a significant impact on our local economy and community by providing new job opportunities for area residents.”
This funding will help increase employment opportunities and provide marketing and technical assistance to more businesses in the Flint area. The PTA Cooperative Agreement Program was designed to generate employment and to improve the general economy of a locality by assisting business firms in obtaining and performing under Federal, State and local government contracts. |
