| Washington, D.C.-Congressman Dale E. Kildee (D-MI) received a high rating from the League of Conservation Voters for his outstanding commitment to the preservation and protection of the environment. The League of Conservation Voters’ 2002 National Environmental Scorecard evaluated the environmental voting records of every member of Congress to determine which legislators are dedicated to environmental protection.

As a senior member of the Resources Committee, Congressman Kildee has continually demonstrated his commitment to the conservation and preservation of the environment. The League of Conservation Voters (LCV) is a bipartisan organization devoted to educating citizens about the environmental voting records of federally elected officials. The National Environmental Scorecard represents the consensus of experts from numerous respected environmental and conservation organizations who selected the key votes on which Members of Congress should be graded. The scorecard rated Members of Congress on 8 House votes pertaining to environmental health and safety protection, resource conservation, and spending for environmental programs. As part of the 2002 LCV scorecard, Kildee received a perfect rating on 3 votes that provided financial assistance to farmers.
