WASHINGTON – U.S. Representative Jo Ann Emerson (MO-08) will hold a lunch meeting with the Southeast Missouri Drug Task Force on Monday, March 24 from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. CDT.
“The dedicated personnel in and supporting our drug task forces have an important and dangerous job. They are on the front lines in fighting the scourge of drugs in our rural communities, and I think they have one of the most important jobs in our state when it comes to preserving our public safety and quality of life,” said Emerson. “I am very proud to vocally lead their support in the U.S. House of Representatives, and I look forward to our meeting on Monday to discuss the challenges ahead of us.”
Emerson has provided key federal support to the SEMO Drug Task Force through the congressional appropriations process in years past.
