WASHINGTON, D.C. – Montana's Congressman, Denny Rehberg, today announced the U.S. Department of Transportation has awarded $6.6 million in funding for airports in Billings, Great Falls, Helena and White Sulphur Springs.
“Montana’s economy benefits greatly from improved air transportation,” said Rehberg, a member of the House Appropriations Committee. “This funding will mean a boost for Montana’s agriculture, construction, small business, and travel and recreation industries.”
The grant was awarded through the Federal Aviation Administration and will fund taxiway and runway rehabilitation projects, and infrastructure improvements. Four airports will share in $6.6 million in funding:
Billings Logan International $1.4 Million
Great Falls International $2.4 Million
Helena Regional $1.0 Million
White Sulphur Springs $1.8 Million
