WASHINGTON, D.C. - Montana’s Congressman, Denny Rehberg, today announced Mary Heller, his current Eastern Montana-based field representative, will be joining his legislative staff in Washington, D.C. Heller, a Winifred, Montana native, will work on agriculture, natural resources, energy, and water issues.
“You’ve got to get your boots dirty to understand this state, and as a field representative, Mary has been able to cover the highways and back roads of Big Sky Country,” said Rehberg, a member of the House Energy and Water Appropriations Subcommittee. “Her knowledge and experience will certainly be valuable assets to my legislative team.”
Heller joined the Rehberg office in October 2007. Prior to that, she worked at the Beartooth Hospital in Red Lodge. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education at the University of Alaska-Anchorage, and has eight years of teaching experience in rural Montana.
“Growing up on a farm in the Missouri River Breaks, I’ve seen firsthand the importance of agriculture, energy, and natural resources to the State of Montana,” said Heller. “I’m honored Congressman Rehberg has asked me to join him in his D.C. office, and I look forward to helping him push the priorities of rural Montana through Congress.”
