Washington, D.C. - U.S. Representative Mike McIntyre was sworn in today as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives for the 111th Congress. McIntyre was re-elected to North Carolina’s Seventh Congressional District in November with 69% of the vote and begins his seventh term in our office.
Congressman McIntyre stated, “Our nation is facing some challenging times with some great opportunities ahead of us. I am honored to continue working for Southeastern North Carolina in our nation’s capital. From economic security to national security to health care, education and coastal issues, I am firmly committed to do all I can to revive our economy, protect our freedoms, help create good jobs, and provide opportunity and hope to our citizens. Citizens are welcome to contact any of our five offices to let us know any concerns or suggestions they may have or if we may be of any assistance to them.”
Congressman McIntyre will continue to serve as a senior member on both the House Agriculture and Armed Services Committees. He will also serve as Co-Chairman of the Special Operations Forces Caucus, Co-Chairman of the Congressional Youth Sports Caucus, Co-Chairman of the Fatherhood Promotion Task Force, Co-Chairman of the Congressional Waterways Caucus, and as a senior member of the on the U.S. Commission on Security & Cooperation in Europe.
McIntyre’s Washington office remains in Suite 2437 of the Rayburn House Office Building. He also has district offices in Fayetteville, Lumberton, Bolivia, and Wilmington, as well as a mobile unit that travels the entire Seventh District.
