McIntyre Announces $1.14 Million for Fayetteville Regional Airport |

Washington, D.C. - U.S. Representative Mike McIntyre announced today that Fayetteville Regional Airport has received $1,142,908 in federal funds for infrastructure improvements. Congressman McIntyre stated, “These federal funds will help keep the Fayetteville Regional Airport safe and secure! It will build on the $550,000 already approved for this project and ensure that safety and security are first and foremost. Congratulations to Director Bradley Whited and all the fine folks at the airport for their work in securing these funds!” The U.S. Congress has appropriated and the U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Aviation Administration has awarded FAY $1,142,908 in federal funds to renovate the Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting Facility. The facility is over 30 years old and is in need of improvements. This is phase 2 of the funding as $549,338 was announced for this project in January 2009. |
