McIntyre Announces $66,500 for Wade Community Fire Department |

Washington, D.C. - U.S. Representative Mike McIntyre announced today that the Wade Community Fire Department has received $66,500 in federal funds for a new fire truck. Congressman McIntyre stated, “Our first responders are on the front lines everyday protecting our citizens and communities. These federal funds will help Wade FD do their job, and I congratulate Michael Hill and all the great folks in Wade for their work in securing these funds. Safety and protection is first and foremost.” Wade Community Fire Department received the funds, appropriated through Congress and distributed by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in this round of grants. Funds for Wade may be used for a vehicle acquisition. Congressman McIntyre has been a long time supporter of the federal fire program and has worked repeatedly to increase funds for distribution to our nation’s fire departments. |
