McIntyre Announces $67,925 for Sloop Point Volunteer Fire Department |

Washington, D.C. - U.S. Representative Mike McIntyre announced today that the Sloop Point Volunteer Fire Department has received $67,925in federal funds for operations and safety. Congressman McIntyre stated, “Our first responders are on the front lines everyday protecting our citizens and communities. These federal funds will help Sloop Point VFD do their job, and I congratulate all the great folks at Sloop Point for their work in securing these funds. Safety and protection is first and foremost.” Sloop Point Volunteer Fire Department received the funds, appropriated through Congress and distributed by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in this round of grants. Funds for Sloop Point may be used for operations and safety initiatives at the department. Congressman McIntyre has been a long time supporter of the federal fire program and has worked repeatedly to increase funds for distribution to our nation’s fire departments. |
