This Monday, May 3, 2004, Representative Sue Myrick (NC-9) will be at Gaston Day School to present an award to Stowe Nelson of Gastonia, NC. Stowe will be receiving the 2003 Bronze Congressional Award Medal at a school assembly. The 2003 Bronze Congressional Award Medal is awarded to individuals who have worked for the betterment of their community, and for the goals they set for their own personal development. Stowe earned the Bronze Congressional Award Medal for, among other things, volunteering with various children’s programs and participating in a 30-hour famine to raise money for “World Vision.” Rep. Myrick will be at Gaston Day School from 11:45am until 12:15pm. She will present Stowe with the Medal, and will encourage other students to work toward improving their community. ### | |||||
