Rep. Myrick's Statement on the Passing of Ronald Reagan |

| "Today, I am deeply saddened by our great loss. My thoughts and prayers are with President Reagan’s wife, Nancy, and their children. Ronald Reagan will never be forgotten. He will be remembered as one of our greatest, and most beloved, Presidents. He was a man of great principal and vision. He spoke of hope, and a better tomorrow. He reminded us of what a great country we live in, and he made us believe in ourselves. Posterity will remember him for removing the yoke of nuclear holocaust around the world by single-handedly ending the Cold War. Although President Reagan is no longer with us, we will keep his memory alive by striving to make America that “shining city upon a hill” he so often spoke about."
