REP. MYRICK TO RING THE MERCANTILE EXCHANGE BELL

(Washington, D.C.) – Representative Sue Myrick (NC-09) will be in New York City today, and tomorrow, on a rapid paced media and speaking tour.  As chair of the Republican Study Committee (RSC), Rep. Myrick was invited to speak at the prestigious Monday Meeting Group.  She was also invited to ring the Mercantile Bell to open the Mercantile stock exchange.

On Monday, Rep. Myrick will be speaking at the Monday Meeting Group’s monthly meeting.  The Monday Meeting Group is where 150 to 200 of the nation’s top conservative business leaders, reporters, and columnists come to discuss the issues of the day.  Myrick will also meet with the editorial boards of the Wall Street Journal, the New York Post, and National Review Magazine.

On Tuesday, Rep. Myrick will meet with members of the Board of Directors of the Mercantile Exchange and will open the stock exchange by ringing the bell at 10am.  Myrick will then tour the Mercantile Exchange, the New York Stock Exchange, and NASDAQ.

In 2002, Rep. Myrick was selected by her conservative peers to chair the RSC,  a group of 96 conservatives in the U.S. House, because of her strong stance on low taxes, less government, and cutting federal spending.  As RSC chair, she has become the national voice for House conservatives.
