(Washington, D.C.) – Today, Americans for Tax Reform and the Small Business Survival Committee (SBSC) presented US Rep. Sue Myrick (NC-9) with its highest awards. The awards were presented at a private, informal ceremony at the US Capitol.
Americans for Tax Reform is the nation’s leading taxpayer advocacy group. It presented Rep. Myrick with its annual “Hero of the Taxpayer” award for her strong voting record on behalf of the taxpayer.
“Representative Sue Myrick is squarely on the side of the taxpayers, and Americans for Tax Reform offers its thanks and congratulations,” said Grover Norquist, President of Americans for Tax Reform.
The SBSC is one of the nation’s leading small business advocacy organizations. It presented Rep. Myrick with the “Small Business Advocate” award because of her strong commitment to America’s small business and entrepreneurial sector.
“By voting for key small business initiatives Rep. Myrick has played a vital role in encouraging job creation and business investment,” said SBSC President and CEO Karen Kerrigan.
