MYRICK INVITES REV. ANTHONY MARCIANO, FROM CHARLOTTE, TO BE GUEST CHAPLIN FOR THE US HOUSE

(Washington, D.C.) – Today, Representative Sue Myrick (NC-9) announced that Reverend Anthony Marciano, of Charlotte, NC, will be giving the morning prayer to open the US House of Representatives on Thursday, September 22, 2005.  Rep. Myrick had invited Rev. Marciano to give the prayer and arranged it with the Speaker’s office.

 Reverend Marciano is the Executive Director of the Charlotte Rescue Mission.  The Rescue Mission ministers to people in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg area who struggle with poverty, homelessness, and drug addition.  The Reverend is a graduate of the Salvation Army’s Seminary.  He will also have meetings later in the day at the White House.
