MYRICK’S YOUTH ADVISORY COUNCIL
COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT DAY

(Washington, D.C.) – On Saturday, April 17, 2004, students in Representative Sue Myrick’s (NC-09) Youth Advisory Council will be holding their Community Service Project Day.  The group will be will be cleaning the Holy Angels Camp, which is located on the Catawba River.  They will be working from 9am until 12pm. 

 Rep. Myrick’s Youth Advisory Council (YAC) is a group of 80 high school students from 34 different schools who have shown an interest in the functions of the legislative branch of government.  Group members are selected based on a number of factors, including academic success, volunteer activities, and extracurricular participation.  The YAC  meets on a regular basis to talk and share their opinions with Rep. Myrick about current events, politics, and the government.
